Machine Room Less Elevator
Machine Room -Less (MRL) Elevators are space saving variants of Traction Elevator. Instead of having bulky machinery in a room at the bottom or top of the elevator shaft, modified compact motor drive machinery is mounted on top of the car itself. This system is suitable when you don't want to change the existing structure and also provides great flexibility in seamless architectural design.
Having no machine room does not mean less power. This system too provides a fast, smooth, reliable and energy-efficient use. Earlier, Traction Elevators we installed in high-rises only. With the advent of the MRL design, Architects and engineers got the option to install them in even low-rise and multi-storey homes.
